For Bigger Value on Your Broadband and Phone Services Switch to Virgin
I was an old phone and broadband subscriber of BT and had no complaint with them but that relationship soured when they decided to impose a £9 quarterly charge as a punishment for not taking up direct debit service to pay my bill. No doubt that was not a big sum but it was kind of unfair consumer practice I don’t see anything not in order with paying my bills via the post office. I was not about to be held prisoner by this unreasonable charge my reaction was obviously to look for an alternative service provider. I didn’t realize there were so many competitors out in the market but Virgin is the real deal, I signed a real competitive package which completes with a obligation-free on demand TV service. The installation followed immediately and proficiently and Virgin didn’t charge a single pence for the work. Nevertheless I soon realized I had a problem with web. While I was with BT internet speed was at a moderate 5mb which pretty much permitted me to surf the web without fuss after all I seldom downloaded things over the web. Still Virgin could only got me 2.5mb and I also experienced occasional problems with internet connections. The internet connections got so disturbing that when this was reported to Virgin they agreed an engineer would come on-site for free checking. Conversely BT had made me poorer by £70 previously upfront without guaranteeing that pathetic 5 minutes job would get anything repaired. The engineer came to my apartment and had a bit of a probe about. After going about his work, he switched the internet and computer on and off repeatedly so to make sure everything was in order and I also appreciated the engineer’s manner he turned up in front of the door and introduced himself and his reason for the visit professionally with picture ID and Virgin documents I gladly allowed him in without any hesitation or sensed alarmed this is indeed impressive as not many businesses these days gave enough thoughts about the securities of old women. After getting the connection resolved I have not experienced any problem with the internet. I am now on a much cheaper phone package and additionally I can always revert to the old episodes of Murder She Wrote from the Virgin on- demand television service when there is nothing interesting on TV. Well there must have been something that BT executives may pick up from Richard Branson!
